Gooch's Utopia: collected works from the Central Desert
Curator: Fiona Salmon Flinders University Art Museum, 2008 – 93 pages
Surveying the phenomenon of art production at Utopia in the latter decades of the 20th century, this exhibition encourages audiences to engage with the early work of some of Australia's leading Indigenous artists. The project not only provides insight into a particularly important period in Aboriginal Art History but enables us to celebrate the contribution of the late Rodney Gooch to the public realm. A collaborative project with Riddoch Art Gallery, this exhibition is curated by Fiona Salmon, Collection Manager at Flinders University Art Museum. The exhibition is accompanied by a full colour catalogue and will tour nationally.
