This vase by Deborah Taylor was a finalist in the Clarence Valley Indigenous Art Awards of 2009. In the catalogue from the exhibition it is described as “Abstract 2009”.
Deborah is heavily influenced by her Aboriginal heritage and the legends, stories and family history are the main focuses of her artwork. The ocean, rainforest, bush, and urban regions of the Clarence Valley and particularly the Clarence River provide inspiration with their lifeforces and changing climate and colours for Deborah’s outstanding artwork.
